    Mustang Stampede 5K Run/Walk
    September 11, 2010

12 Kids and 48 adults participated in the inaugural Mustang Stampede on September 11th. The morning began with a free, 1K kids run through Lion's Club Park. Then, individuals ranging in age from 5 to 67 competed in a 5K run that looped through downtown Ennis. The course, designed to bring awareness to the importance of providing safe routes to schools, started and ended at Lion's Club Park. The overall winner of the 5K run was Susan Kaluza with a time of 20:46. Prizes and donations were generously provided by local businesses and individual donors.

The first annual Mustang Stampede was a wonderful family event on a beautiful fall day, featuring live music and lots of excitement. We're already looking forward to next year's Stampede!

    4th of July Parade
    July 4, 2010

There were 6500 people that attended the 2010 Ennis 4th of July Parade. It was one of the biggest turn-outs in history. Madison Byways recruited children and parents to decorate bikes, ride in the parade, and carry signs promoting Safe Routes to School. 43 kids and 10 adults participated in the event!

    Father's Day Fishing Derby
    June 20, 2010

On Father’s Day last year, Madison Byways sponsored a bicycle safety and practice course, as part of the Lion’s Club Father’s Day Fishing Derby. Volunteers from Free Heel and Wheel in West Yellowstone, Montana came to educate children of all ages in bicycle safety and to run a practice course. There were raffles to win a new bicycle and various other prizes. Madison Byways also had a silent auction for donated bikes that were uniquely decorated. To top it all off, there was live local music. It was an exciting day for the whole family.
